An
example schedule for our program at Jones Gulch is listed below.
Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on weather
conditions throughout the year. Rainy weeks may include more indoor
games and activities, but when conditions are safe we always try to get
out on trail for short hikes even when it's wet. Students out on hikes
and at the beach have limited access to conventional bathrooms.
Instead, students will have the opportunity to try new things and learn
to use nature’s bathroom!

Daily Activity
Daily
student activities include a Trail Lunch Hike, Beach Day, and a Morning
Hike followed by an afternoon Elective. Every group of students will
participate in each activity during the week they are at camp. During
Trail Lunch Hike and Beach Day, students will have a picnic lunch out on
trail or at the coast, and will be out for the majority of the day.
Lunch is served in the Dining Hall for students participating in the
Morning Hike. Students receive a 30 minute rest time on days they have
their Trail Lunch and Morning Hikes. During afternoon Electives
following morning hikes, students have the opportunity to select an
activity of their choice offered by naturalists. These activities range
from low to high energy and may include nature art, story reading and
writing, critter hunts, shelter building, music making, nature games and
long distance hikes.
